In the rubble of the London Blitz of World War II, Alice Spencer’s budding teen life is turned upside down, and she and her dear friend Alfred are forced to take shelter in an underground tube station. When the ailing Alfred is quarantined, Alice encourages him to escape with her into their cherished book and journey down the rabbit hole to Wonderland.
The Theatre Factory’s production of Alice by Heart is directed by Matt Mlynarski, with musical direction by Travis Rigby. The cast features Brandon Farneth (Dodgy/Duchess), Minnie Jones (Caterpillar 2/Mock Turtle/Knave of Hearts), Joe Kosha (Alfred Hallam/White Rabbit/March Hare), Paulina Neuschwander (Tabatha/Cheshire Cat), Dylan Pal (Dr. Butridge/King of Hearts/Jabberwocky), Jonathan Parker (Harold Pudding/Mad Hatter), Jeremy Poynton (Nigel/Dormouse), Kevin Rabbits (Angus/Caterpillar), Richelle Szypulski (Clarissa/Queen of Diamonds), Randi D. Walker (Alice Spencer), and Emily Urbaniak (Red Cross Nurse/Queen of Hearts). The creative and production team includes Nicole Rae Jones (Choreographer), Raegan Hochman (Associate Director), and Zach Gilkey (Stage Manager).
Alice by Heart runs for two weekends at The Theatre Factory in Trafford (235 Cavitt Ave.): Friday through Sunday, March 1-3, 2024, and Thursday through Saturday, March 7-9, 2024. Performances on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays are at 7:30 pm, and the Sunday matinee is at 2:00 pm. Tickets can be purchased at www.thetheatrefactory.org.
