Princess Ida - Presented by the Pittsburgh Savoyards

The Pittsburgh Savoyards open their 84th season this October with Gilbert and Sullivan’s operetta, Princess Ida.

A hilarious twist on a traditional medieval fairy tale, Princess Ida, or Castle Adamant tells the tale of the titular Princess Ida and is partially based on the 1847 poem The Princess by Alfred Lord Tennyson. Prince Hilarion has been waiting for his wedding day for twenty years. He is about to meet Princess Ida to whom he was betrothed, as a baby. Tickets are available for $25 each - reserved seating.

An online live stream option will also be made available for the Sunday matinee performances.

Two performances will be closed captioned.
