The Chamber Orchestra of Pittsburgh opens our 2021-22 with Ravel, Stravinsky, and a world premiere performance of newly commissioned work.
The Chamber Orchestra of Pittsburgh opens its season on October 2, 2021 with a program that includes the world premiere of a COP-commissioned concerto for flute and orchestra by Mexican composer Marina Lopez, with flute soloist Zoe Sorell. The program also features Maurice Ravel’s Le Tambeau de Couperin and Igor Stravinsky’s Pulcinella Suite, both masterpieces of the 20th century rarely heard in Pittsburgh.
