“Less Guts Than Most” is an exploration of the anxiety and body horror that comes with a chronic illness diagnosis. Using soft sculpture and printmaking, Lauren Bailey manipulates scientific illustration into nauseating patterns and intimate illustrations of her perception of the inner body’s workings. “Less Guts Than Most” investigates the body as temporary and the will behind survival.
