From Slavery to Freedom Garden Tour

Presented by Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy at Frick Environmental Center, Pittsburgh PA

Jun 13 2021
From Slavery to Freedom Garden Tour

Throughout June, we will honor Juneteenth, celebrating the emancipation proclamation, which freed all enslaved people in the United States — a celebration that first began in 1865.

Join our naturalist educators for a tour of the From Slavery to Freedom Garden. Learn about the garden and the importance of plants and nature in the lives of Freedom Seekers. A reflective poetry exercise, plant identification and short hike will be a part of this experience.
