The Jewish Genealogy Society of Pittsburgh and the Heinz History Center’s Rauh Jewish History Program & Archives welcome noted genealogist Lara Diamond, who will discuss the complications of genetic genealogy within endogamous populations.
Diamond is president of the Jewish Genealogy Society of Maryland, leads JewishGen’s Subcarpathian SIG and sits on JewishGen’s Ukraine SIG’s board of directors. She also runs multiple district-and town-focused projects to collect documentation to assist all those researching ancestors from common towns.
The program will begin at 11 a.m. with a brief Q&A session with the Jewish Genealogy Society about general research questions. Lara Diamond’s presentation will begin at 11:30 a.m.
