Deep Dive Tour: Women’s Rights in Prohibition

In honor of Women’s History Month, join Dr. Lisa Tetrault, professor of history at Carnegie Mellon University, for a special tour of the History Center’s newest exhibition, American Spirits: The Rise and Fall of Prohibition.

Accompanied by History Center senior curator Leslie Przybylek, Dr. Tetrault will dive deeper into topics including suffrage, temperance, and the wider women’s rights movement in the early 20th century on this roving tour of the 10,000-square-foot exhibition, with opportunities for questions and conversation along the way.

Following the tour, Dr. Tetrault will be available to sign copies of her book, “The Myth of Seneca Falls: Memory and the Women’s Suffrage Movement, 1848-1898.” Copies
