Community Discovery Writing Gathering

If you find that you are outpacing yourself in a million ways — even as you try so hard to be present — these gatherings are for you.

If you find yourself craving more spaciousness and connection in your days, with both yourself and others, welcome.

How does it work? We will all be given the same word or topic and will write into it for a set amount of time (think: open-ended, creative prompts). When the timer ends, we’ll enter small groups (one or two other people) with the opportunity to read our writing aloud and practice being a *creative witness*. Important: we’re not writing for quality here, we’re writing to feel into the process of creative expression, both in writing, sharing, and receiving. You always have the option to pass on reading and there is never pressure to share.

Fellow introverts and people who feel shy around new people 📣 This space was crafted with you in mind. No opening introductions, no formal feedback, and no need to share anything that you’ve written (a big exhale).

This is an invitation to show up exactly as you are and extend willingness and trust to the page to catch what may come! Here are more deets…
🔸 We are meeting at Biddle’s Escape on Thursday, April 27 at 4:30 — must pre-register. There will be candles and flowers because beauty inspires creativity!
🔸 No experience necessary. This isn’t a space for ‘writers’, this is a space for creative beings (that means you!)

The short of it: This is a space for you to get centered, inspired, and practice being with yourself and connecting with others in generative new ways. This is a space for you to prioritize your creativity because creative expression is not only deeply liberating to practice, but to witness in others too.
