African American Genealogy Workshop

Join genealogist, author, and blogger Melvin Collier, DNA ancestry testing expert Michael Williams, and genealogists from Pittsburgh’s Afro-American Historical & Genealogical Society for a day-long workshop focused on African American genealogy.

Benefiting beginners and seasoned genealogists alike, this in-depth workshop will examine the basics of genealogical research, how DNA can be used to help you break down genealogy brick walls, different types of DNA resources, and what your DNA results can reveal about you.

Registration for this program is $20 per person for the public and $15 for members of the Heinz History Center or the Afro-American Historical & Genealogical Society.
