Throughout history, portraiture was once only for the elite and wealthy. Join us as we visit what portraiture is during the 21st century, during a time of FB and I-Phones.
Portraiture dates back to the time of the Greeks and Romans, where notable men and women would appear on coins and sculpture. During the 15th century, the wealthy would commission, most noted the Medici family of Florence; bringing forth status and power. Now, even during the time of I-Phones and Facebook; a portrait will tell a story, a life event, and sometimes a hidden meaning for the viewer to discover.
