The August Wilson African American Cultural Center presents its first Hip-Hop Camp in four parts which will include, the art of songwriting and creation, dj’ing, graffiti art, and breakdancing.

The first part of camp will begin with the art of songwriting and creation.

In the Booth is a four-part session that will focus on the history and evolution of hip-hop, lyrical content and artistic responsibility, and discover the connection between August Wilson and hip-hop music.  In the Booth will be taught by Educator, Emmanuel DeAnda, a music pioneer from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  Over the course of the camp, students will develop their own song by writing lyrics that include a verse, ... view more »

ADMISSION INFO

Tickets are $20.00 per session. For the complete Hip-Hop Camp Sessions, buy all four camp sessions for just $75.00. Save $1.25 off regular ticket prices when you buy all four sessions at one time. This is a virtual session. There will be no ticket mailed or held at the box office. You will be emailed a Zoom link 3 days prior to the session with important information. Discount applied once tickets to all four camp sessions are added to your cart.
