Whether VO acting is new to you, you’re jumping into acting or you’ve run into some vocal snags that are keeping you at arms-length from booking that next Voice Over gig, Fun is essential! The human voice is a powerful tool; we teach you how best to use yours more effectively. The craft of Voice Over is making the un-natural not only sound natural but engages the listener actively, connecting to the material, no matter what information that material contains, whether it’s cartoon, video game characters, a medical narration, television commercials, or that elevator that now speaks. Voice Over is a learned skill.

Classes will be on Mondays from 7:00 – 9:00 PM / EST with Q&A following the classes.
Cost: $400 for ages 18 – 25.

Meet Amy:
Amy Hartman has done Voice Over Promos for: Discovery Channel, Travel Channel, Animal Planet & The Food Network. She has appeared in the Discovery Titanic documentary that won an Emmy, National spots include American Express, American Greeting Cards, Pittsburgh Paints, Pepsi, Levi Jeans, Clairol, McDonald’s, Brugger’s Bagels, Virginia Lottery, Pennsylvania Lottery, New Jersey Lottery, Websites, computer games including Werewolf Woman, Museum kiosks, many hospitals all over the country — including Children’s, Mercy, Allegheny and McGee Hospital in Pittsburgh. Giant Eagle, Foodland, Roomful Express, GNC, Dicks Sporting Goods to name a few.
Amy has guest lectured at CMU, Point Park, Hunter College, CCAC and NYU. She has produced over two hundred demo cd’s for actors and produced and directed many commercials, industrials and books on CD including The Diversity Dialogs with NPR. Amy is a member of SAG, AFTRA, and Actors Equity.
